We introduce you to the best shops, restaurants and attractions we’ve decorated, just off the Kings Road, in the Chelsea neighbourhoods where we live, socialise and work. These are all wonderful places around Chelsea.
Let’s take a look at Chelsea Green, Royal Chelsea Hospital and the Pimlico Road. Some of the best places in London to gaze at the galleries, buy quality fresh food and find a relaxing spot and a bite to eat.

Over recent years and since the mid eighties I have frequently been asked to paint the signs on the shops around ‘the green’ as it is fondly known has become a popular gastronomic hub.
With its distinctive village-like atmosphere created by truly local shops, restaurants and cafes, it now has a new garden design, with benches and a water fountain making the green itself even more attractive.
I first came here to 64 Godfrey Street with my mother who worked for a living icon of the square, court dressmaker ‘Ms Barnard’. Since 1970s the green has been an extended home. Nick Garrett
It is today one of the most sought-after neighbourhoods for people looking to live in Chelsea.

Discover the newly renovated Soane Stable Yard
The Soane Stable Yard provides a new starting point for visitors to the Royal Hospital and the opportunity to explore our past and enjoy a taste of all the Royal Hospital has to offer today.
Eminent architect Sir John Soane, whose legacy includes the Bank of England and Dulwich Picture Gallery, also in London, was the Royal Hospital’s Clerk of Works for 30 years. He designed and built the Grade II listed Stable Yard between 1814 and 1817, repurposing many materials from Wren’s original structure.
The stable block provided stalls for 25 working horses, housing for nine carriages and two flats for stable boys and coachmen.
