NGS Sign WritING ARTISTS' PROFILES
The PERFECT Team For CREATING stunning BRAND style
Introduction
Signwriting is an art going back 2000 years. Returning from the brink of extinction since the 1980s.
NGS today encourages the young designers and artists across UK and the wider world, who are fast re-kindling interest in this fine artistic trade in ways that inspire the older generation of signmasters.
Old-school meets new-school is the abiding mantra of NGS.

This ‘deep-wide’ website intends to show the DNA of all the keystone principles of the craft, showing precise sharp lettering examples that have never previously illustrated in such detail.
It can ideally be used as a client ideation directory and ordering catalogue, featuring the macro micro knowledge of brushstroke skills, vintage letter shapes and pure letter design.
Backed up with posts, images and case history pages, we aim to enlighten a historical perspective and cornerstone modern day project applications.
The renowned present and past sign masters, Noel Weber, Edward Johnston, Richard Apps, the Calson Foundry and William Sharpington, frame this richly embossed site, leading Nick to the next germination of the craft.
