Regent Sound Studio in London was founded as a recording studio used by Pink Floyd, Hendrix and the Stones. Today rather than creating rock legends, they serve up only the best genuine guitars to the world… for the new ones.

About Claud Cecil Gurney

  • British decorative artist and designer
  • Founded de Gournay in 1984
  • The company is named after Jean-François de Gournay, an 18th-century French art dealer — not after Claud himself
  • Claud was deeply influenced by:
    • Chinese export wallpapers
    • Chinoiserie
    • Hand-painted European decorative traditions

Claud established de Gournay to revive the dying art of hand-painted wallpaper, at a time when almost everything creative seemed to lost to the ewwave of printed or mass-produced copies.
