Are you a Regeneration Type Lover?

Architectural London: Regen-Retro Restoration Sign Writers
Restoration and regeneration sign writing has become in important part of what we do these days.
Projects such as The George Tavern, Penhaligons, more recently The Cavalry & Guards Club, The Dispensary and Canberra House have all shown our architects and design colleagues the range and experience we have reviving priceless brand ID/artefacts and challenging surfaces.

CASE NOTES

The text was created from archive images of the original writing and matched with the architectural colourwise detailing of the building. The buff shade with just a hint of dark olive and the type in British Racing Green.

Sawyer & Gray London Underground ‘Johnston’ original Lettering – an artefact saved… and expanded.
Original Johnston Underground Type. Restored by NGS London sign writers and inspiring the creation of 3 ‘Truecut’ Fonts in 2018: sets that we now hold in our permanent bespoke collections, used on several projects like ‘The Beatles Cafe’ and ‘Electric Coffee’ houses and many custom fanlight gilds.
Recently this Truecut collection has expanded with several new versions including ‘Ebury Street’, ‘Baker Street’ and ‘Earls Court’ versions – each with their own idiosyncrasies drawn from the original 1910 signage found in our London across town journeys. Just as the original typeface designer, Edward Johnston would have envisaged.
